The opening segment of the film The Gods Must Be Crazy provides a light-hearted view of a ‘primal’ way of life that is sustainable, and a ‘civilized’ one that is not. In the ‘primitive’ example, children appear to mature with age; in the ‘civilized’ example, they simply become older…and develop larger appetites.
